Not a happy time for Cock o' the North following withdrawl in February. Dony Works was helping out the LMR with their redundant stock at the time; 47249 withdrawn in 1958 is in the distance and there are LMS 2Ps behind the A2. This helps date this shot as the MR tank was recorded as being scrapped during April in the Railway Observer whilst the A2 was photographed being cut up on 7th May 1960. One nameplate was donated to the Doncaster Grammar School railway society no doubt due to a request from Tony Peart.
