GWR Grange 4-6-0 No 6869 Resolven Grange with a relief down 'Cornishman' passing Worle Jct on 5 August 1961.

Peter Kerslake adds "6869 "Resolven Grange" had been a Laira resident in the mid 'fifties but had migrated to Penzance at the time of this view from August of 1961, in which case it's doubtless working back to Plymouth on the Wolverhampton to Penzance "Cornishman", seen here at Worle Junction where the lines to and from Weston super leave the main Taunton to Bristol direct route.
These "Cornishman" workings were always somewhat of a mystery to me but I think that the engines usually worked between Penzance and Bristol in each direction on the Westcountry leg of the run and did not change engines at Plymouth, but I could well be wrong!
The load is considerable for a "Grange" wherever it's come from!
