LNWR 2158 1919 is it Manchester

London & North Western Railway Webb 'Waterloo' class 2-4-0 No. 2158 'Sister Dora'. Built at Crewe in November 1874 as a 'Samson' class and named 'Serpent', renewed as a 'Waterloo' class in August 1894 and re-named, withdrawn in September 1927.

The location (Manchester?) is unknown, but this 1919 photograph is of a locomotive with named after a Victorian nursing heroine, Miss Dorothy Pattison. Her story is both fascinating and harrowing and I urge you to look up her story on the internet, you will not regret it. You will also learn why she had a special place in the hearts of L&NWR employees.
