The Schools crosses the viaducts on the approach to the station. Roman Schmidt says "As a youngster then living in Wimbledon, I regularly visited Nine Elms and I recall 30902 being stored in the open when the summer timetable came to an end in 1962, some months before withdrawal in December, when all the remaining Schools class were withdrawn en-masse."
