Ex-LMS Stanier 'Jubilee' class 4-6-0 No. 45721 'Impregnable'. Built at Crewe in August 1936 as LMS No. 5721 and withdrawn in October 1965.

A truly magnificent photograph of 'Impreganable' arriving at Rugby with a colossal parcels van train in the exceptionally hard winter of January 1963. This is recorded as the 09:40 train from Crewe to Marylebone - there were two Crewe -Marylebone parcels trains which left the ex-LNWR main line at Bletchley - sometimes worked by an EE Type 4.
