The road from Meadow Lane in Long Eaton was metaled as far as Trent Station where it became unmade. The road led to Cranfleet Farm and the cottages that nestled between the Derby and Nottingham lines at Trent Junction. Judging by the height of the embankment I would suggest the photo was taken just south of the station." now confirmed as passing 119 ' milepost at Trent Lane, which lead to Cranfleet Farm
