The permanent way on the ex L&YR route at Barton in Lancashire (near Formby) is a credit to the PW gang responsible. Ex-LMS Stanier 'Jubilee' 45705 'Seahorse' is also in excellent external condition as it passes with an up mixed freight from Southport. Friday 10th April 1964
