Ex-LMS Stanier Jubilee No. 45600 'Bermuda' is entering Leeds City Station with a parcels train on a murky June day in 1963. It is passing the relatively modern signal box at the South end of the station. Just about the only buildings of historic architectural interest that still remain in this locality today are the listed, 1866-built, Italianate towers of Tower Works on Globe Road, Holbeck. This factory made steel pins for textile shredding machines. 45600 was built by NBL of Glasgow in Feb. 1935 as LMS No. 5600 and was withdrawn in Dec. 1965.
