An up Manchester express hauled by 'Jubilee' No. 45634 Trinidad passes Kettering South signalbox on 9th September 1961. The Permanent Way workers appear to have been working recently on the pointwork given the fresh ballast not yet tamped down. No.45634 was one of a handful of 'Jubilees' shedded at Crewe South in 1960/61 and was an early withdrawal in May 1963.
