LMS Jubilee 4-6-0 No 45709 Implacable recorded as a Nottingham slow train at Derby on 22 July 1963.
We are not convinced that 45709 is on a Nottingham local. It is facing north in platform 2 and while a couple of Nottingham locals in the evening peak departed via Chaddesden to minimise platform occupation and avoid reversal, these workings were usually from Lincoln and in the hands of ex-LNER locos (eg, Director, A5, B1 ).

So it’s much more likely that 45709, with its Derby shedplate, is on a stopper to Manchester.
