All eyes of the Train Spotters are on LMS Princess Royal 4-6-2 No 46210 Lady Patricia with an express from Euston arriving at Manchester London Road in the mid 1950s. It is after January 1955 as the signalbox scafolding matches a photo that cannot be before then. Carrying a domed non combustion chamber boiler which was fitted in Jan 1956. The photo was likely taken in 1956 or '57 before the fitting of a speed indicator in September 1957
