46200 The Princess Royal became something of a ‘celebrity’ engine during its final few months in service and was used on several railtours. On 3rd June 1962 it was photographed at Watford Junction on the RCTS / SLS ‘Aberdeen Flyer’. It had taken over the train from 46201 at Carlisle and worked through from there to Euston. No. 46200 went back into store on 5th November following and was the last ‘Princess’ officially to be withdrawn, during the week ending 17th November.
