After spending eight months of 1961 in store, 46206 Princess Marie Louise returned to traffic on 24th January 1962 and was photographed at Ashton, between Roade and Castlethorpe, with a down Edinburgh express on 19th April. It was taken out of traffic for the last time on 9th September 1962 and withdrawn during the week ending 3rd December. It was wearing BR green livery, carried a combustion chamber, domed boiler and was equipped with both a Smith-Stone speed recorder and AWS.
