Ex-Manchester, Sheffield & Lincolnshire Railway Parker '9F' (LNER 'N5/2') class 0-6-2 Tank No. 9264. Built by Beyer Peacock of Manchester in Nov. 1900 as MS&LR No. 530 and withdrawn in Feb. 1955 as BR No. 69264. The only regrettable feature in this fine study of 9264 at Mexborough MPD is the ghastly 'flower pot' chimney that the LNER applied to ex-MS&LR and GCR locomotives. By way of compensation, the multitude of rivets add greatly to the scene - get counting!
