Coaled but in store and allocated to 6D Chester Northgate, 69274 was in store at Trafford Park, Manchester, between July 1956 and September 1957, probably longer, but no further details available. It was sent, without a works visit, to Peterborough in may 1958 to act as station pilot (replacing equally elderly C12's). Withdrawn in 1960 off New England. Note circular hole in coal board.
