Steve Banks says "If the date is correct then this would be a Gorton loco on a Class A through goods from Manchester, next stop the yards at Nottingham, Leicester and Woodford & Hinton. I have a faint memory of such a train running overnight, the 4-6-0 stopping at Woodford. "
