E4 2-4-0 No 2784 at Cambridge in 1947. Built 1894, w/d May 1955. This locomotive was one that worked over the NER Stainmore route betwen Darlington and Penrith in the 1930s, being fitted with a side window cab to provide better protection for crews. It was eventually withdrawn as No 62784 in May 1955 and had been a Cambridge resident throughout the BR period.
