Made redundant after the Yorkshire Engine Company diesel shunters came from Liverpool Docks, Kitson '0F' 0-4-0T No. 47002 had only been transferred to Lostock Hall in December 1961. It was withdrawn at Lostock Hall in September 1964 from its toils in Greenbank sidings just north of Preston station. No. 47002 was photographed on Christmas Day 1964.
