Ex-Great Northern Railway Gresley 'K1' (LNER 'K2') class 2-6-0 No. 61722 (pilot). Built at Doncaster in February 1913 as GNR No. 1632 and withdrawn in September 1955. There is an unidentified classmate as the train loco.

This enchanting 1951 view sees a family and doggie admiring the arrival at Ardlui of double-headed 'K2s'. Perhaps they live in the typically Scottish croft, where an elderly lady is waiting to greet them and help them to open whatever is in that mysterious parcel? Single malt or blended...
