A heavy southbound train gets underway from Crianlarich, next stop Glasgow, in the late 1950s. The climb to Glen Douglas summit lies ahead of K2 No 61787 ‘Loch Quoich’ and Standard 5 No 73077. Built in May 1955 the 4-6-0 saw less than 10 years of service, being withdrawn in December 1964. The K2 had a longer career, being built in 1921 and withdrawn in October 1959.
