65677 1955-01-04 Wheldrake
The Derwent Valley Light Railway near York was an oddity! It was completely independent and was never nationalised until its closure in 1981. Most requirements for motive power were 'hired in' from the NER, LNER and BR in chronological order. A small section of the original route has been preserved. This scene is at Wheldrake Station and sees ex-NER W. Worsdell 'J25' 65677 shunting the yard on Tuesday 4th January 1955.
