Views of Starbeck MPD in Harrogate are nearly always taken facing towards the shed buildings. This is an exception, in the distance the signal was just before the crossing where the Harrogate to Knaresborough road crossed the line. In steam days a notorious traffic bottleneck! None of this concerns ex-NER Worsdell 'J25' 65726 in a portrait only slightly marred by an unwanted guy line! This photograph was taken in 1959.
