3262 1930s Oswestry shed

GWR Duke 4-4-0 No 3262 at Oswestry shed around 1930. With Manning Wardle Cambrian No 30 later 824 in the distance on the coal stack siding at the back of the shed. The MW ended her days in sedentary semi-retirement suppling steam to the engine which pumped water from Llynclys pool into the engine water tank at the junction. She finally stopped work in September 1940 Photographic evidence suggests she had a stovepipe tube welded onto her chimney when working at Llynclys Similar shots of her at Oswestry suggests this shot was taken in 1930. .
