Deely 41537 together with her sister 41530 were both allocated at Gloucester's Midland Region Depot at Barnwood and with their short wheelbase were of particular use within the busy docks at Gloucester , a large commercial dock handling large quantities of timber imports , all coming to Gloucester docks via the Sharpness and Gloucester canal directly from the Severn estuary .br/ When Barnwood closed in 1964 its remaining allocation of steam motive power was transferred across to the Western Regiion Depot at Horton Road , but I do not know whether these two little locomotives were still in service as late as this , although this one was certainly still at Barnwood in 1962
