Ex-South Devon Railway 2-4-0CT No 1299 at Swindon in March 1934. Behind is another crane tank, No 18 0-6-4PT ‘Steropes’ built by GWR in 1901 from a domeless 850 Class 0-6-0PT with frames extended backwards to accommodate the steam crane.
