Taken off the Alfreton Road bridge looking south, now the A38 just to the east of the McArthur Glen Outlet Village (East Midlands Designer Outlet). There were still rails in place to the north of the bridge on the site of New Hucknall Sidings in 1983. Now it's all gone. The line going off to the right led to South Normanton colliery, closed in 1952, which was on the site of the present Outlet Village. It is strange that they were still in place at the date of this photo.
