This is on Riverside Road formerly Iceworks Road, Lowestoft, on the south of the inner harbour. The offices of East Anglian Ice Company are on the right, these were later used by the Colne Shipping Co. The plate wagons are surprising, the siding on the left and around served canning works so was unlikely to need sheet metal (cans were usually 'bought in' and even if they used tinplate it would be delivered in covered vehicles), the line beyond lead to two sidings serving the quay and before that continued further to textile and other factories but this was severed by the early 1960s.
