9655 1958-07-19 Roche
57XX 0-6-0PT No 9655 leaving Roche with the 1.35pm Par to Newquay train on July 19, 1958.
Peter Kerslake adds "St. Blazey’s 9655 has a customary four coach working on the Par to Newquay line. The depot was the principal source of locomotives for the line, with its numerous inclines of which Luxulyan bank was the most difficult.
Summer Saturdays brought a massive increase in traffic, with numerous through workings to Newquay resulting in around twenty trains daily during the peak holiday season, with local services and china clay workings all adding to the activity."
