7755 1935 Duffryn Yard

7755 1935 Duffryn Yard

With Dean Goods 2530

Peter Kerslake says "Yes, this is Duffryn Yard and the more attractive eastern end, the western end much less attractive and overlooking the vast steel complex of the area.
The depot dates back to 1896 and the days of the Port Talbot Railway when increasing coal and steel traffic brought the construction of the Motive Power Depot to here at what was then known as Duffryn Junction, with the G.W.R. later extending the depot in 1931."
