One of the earlier ‘57xx’ 0-6-0PTs No.7713 with round front cab windows and single radius roof in 1958 on a trip freight passing Snow Hill North signalbox. A pair of single bolsters lead the mixed freight, perhaps they had been carrying something oversize hence the Toad brakevan behind them. No.7713 was at Tyseley from May 1950 until August 1959. The North Signal Box was opened in 1909 and was taken out of use in 1960. It was one of the first all electric signalling systems on the Great Western Railway. The line to the immediate right of the signal box was a short spur siding and then came the two main lines.
