Scene from barrier on Arrival side (Platform 8) at Paddington Station
View outward, with Collett 4-6-0 No. 5994 'Roydon Hall' (built 12/39, withdrawn 3/63) at Platform 8; another express has just arrived at Platform 6. The collection of barrows was no doubt awaiting the Mail traffic that night. (The girl accidentally featured was a total stranger, and very unusually she does not appear to have a handbag! - Whilst taking off scratches you notice little details.)
