Paignton - Wolverhampton express near Standish Junction view southward, towards Bristol and the West. Ex-GW Collett 4-6-0 No. 4955 'Plaspower Hall' (built 8/29, withdrawn 10/63) is heading the 10.35 Paignton - Wolverhampton Low Level express, which after coming up from Bristol via Filton Junction and Yate is on the GW lines because it will avoid Gloucester. The Permanent Way is interesting - clearly there will be some weekend activity.

Peter Kerslake says "Yes, this working is heading northwards on Western Region metals and will take the Gloucester loop line at Tuffley Junction thereby avoiding Gloucester's Midland Region Eastgate station with its Barton Street crossing and complex network of tracks and points.
The "Hall" will have crossed from the Midland Region northbound line from Bristol at Standish Junction , four miles or so back down the track and from where this Western Region line to and from Swindon via Sapperton bank through the "Golden Valley" runs alongside the Midland Region lines between Bristol and Birmingham and beyond.
There are signs of trackwork being undertaken here and with drainage work also apparent."
