View SE, towards Swindon. The class D freight is headed by 4-6-0 No. 5960 'Saint Edmund Hall' (built 1/36, withdrawn 9/62).

Peter Kerslake says "5960 "Saint Edmund Hall", allocated to Oxford in earlier years , has come down Sapperton Bank through the "Golden Valley" as the local area was known, and runs down through Stroud station on its way to Gloucester and doubtless beyond."
