Ex-Great Western Railway Collett 'Hall' class 4-6-0 No. 5936 'Oakley Hall'. Built at Swindon in July 1933 and withdrawn in January 1965.

The sight and sound of steam locomotives attacking the steepest mainline gradient in Britain is now consigned to history. The exhaust of the banking engines can just be discerned as grubby 5936 approaches with a freight in June 1964. Now a conference and wedding venue, the 1795 built, magnificent Georgian manor house Oakley Hall is in Hampshire
