That's the 1845 built " Coastguard Footbridge " seen here at the northern end of Dawlish station with what we believe to be Modified Hall No. 7905 'Fowey Hall' running in on a westbound working most probably from the "North to West" route. It is off 83D Laira and probably coming on at Newton Abbot.
The majority of workings on the "North to East" route at this period in time were entrusted to Shrewsbury or Newton Abbot "Counties" and "Castles" working away from their respective homes one day and returning the next on what were known as "Double Home" duties for their footplatemen.
