4931 1957-06-02 Penzance

Penzance shed faced east and all locomotives were turned after coaling. On the second day of June 1957 local ‘Hall’ No. 4931 Hanbury Hall keeps company with a pair of unidentified ‘Counties’, a ‘43xx’ 2-6-0 and another ‘Hall’. On the right there is a 4000 gallon Collett tender coaled up but separated from its engine; it will have come off either a ‘Castle’, ‘Hall’ or ‘Grange’. The repair road is that on the extreme right with the Boiler and Pump Houses in front, so the engine to which it belongs is most likely in there.
