Driver Don Evans and his fireman in the cab of No 6903 ‘Belmont Hall’ at Old Oak Common in May 1963. Driver Evans gave the photographer several footplate rides on mainline trains to and from Paddington in 1963/4 on Castle, Hall, Grange and 47XX locomotives plus a Western diesel.
