7903 1956-02-18 Bath Spa

7903 1956-02-18 Bath Spa

Our photographer seems to like train 107 , and has braved the cold here with snow on the ground as it runs into Bath Spa headed by 7903 , "Foremarke Hall ", an Old Oak engine nicely turned out by its home shed this day for the 7.30.a.m. from Paddington to the West of England and running the "Long Way Round" via Bristol Temple Meads.
It's clearly a cold day with the steam heating on the carriages seeming to be working to full capacity but it's unusual to see a "Hall" on this working , but they were capable engines , and the fireman seems quite happy! 7903 will probably work through to Newton Abbot as this train was destined for the Torquay line.
