A day spent down at Penzance on a rail excursion from Plymouth produced some worthwhile results, and this is one of my better efforts of the day. Truro shed's 6931 runs over the pedestrian access to the beach at Long Rock and slows as she nears Penzance station with a down stopping train in the early afternoon of 3rd. September, 1956 . Mounts Bay lies to the right and a couple of youthful'spotters" are taking life easy enjoying both the beach and the rail activites !
