7910 1964-08-01 Nottingham Victoria

GWR Hall 4-6-0 No 7910 Hown Hall beside Jubilee 45562 Alberta at Nottingham Victoria on 1 August 1964.

7910 has arrived with 1N63 which she will have worked from Banbury General, this being the return working of 1O41. The Jubilee will work the train north from Nottingham.

GWR engines worked to Nottingham in the summer of 1964 following the closure of Leicester GC MPD, Leicester having been the previous loco change point.

In 1965 all bar one of these inter-regional trains were diverted away from the GCLE leaving only the York - Bournemouth (1O42/1N83) which ran until closure of the route south of Rugby Central.
