What a nice picture of 5931 , " Hatherley Hall " , an Old Oak Common engine , fresh from overhaul at Swindon Works and resplendent in new colours here at Chippenham .
The " Hall " is on a down local stopping working , with just three coaches , probably starting form Swindon and running through to Bristol Temple Meads and this is clearly a " Running In " turn , a regular duty for engines of all sizes fresh from overhaul at the Works before they were returned to their home sheds.
