5964 1015 1956-05-12 Hemerdon
I have ventured into Chaddle Wood , about two thirds' of the way up Hemerdon Bank to record the daily afternoon milk train from Penzance to London , not too heavily loaded as yet , but booked to stop at Totnes next and other stations later in order to add many more loaded milk tank wagons on its way to the Capital.
The Running Foremen at Laira invaraibly seemed to favour putting a " County " on this duty for some reason , and here we have Laira's 1015 , " County of Gloucester " being assisted over the banks to Newton Abbot by shed mate 5964 , " Wolseley Hall" , the date being 12th. May , 1956 .
