No.4991, Cobham Hall is seen here on Newton Abbot shed on Saturday 29th September 1956, captured by Peter Kerslake on a day visit from Plymouth.

His well worn shedbook showed this locomotive to have been shedded at Pontpool Road, but it wore a Taunton (83B) shedplate as it had been transferred there from February. Such were the joys and perils of outdated spotting books in those information starved days!
