6158 1930s Crewe

6158 1930s Crewe

LMS Royal Scot 4-6-0 No 6158 The Loyal Regiment, fitted with an indicator shelter, at an unknown shed. This was probably taken in 1933 between March and May when 6158 still had bogie brakes fitted. Tests were conducted between Crewe and Carlisle with indicator shelter fitted to analyse smokebox gases and with the dynamometer car (exLNWR) attached. Photos show 6158 at Crewe North Stock Shed during these trials with dynamometer car attached still in LNWR livery.
