Converted Royal Scot 4-6-0 No 46105 Cameron Highlander pulls away from Beattock after taking on a banker with the 11.33am Lancaster to Glasgow express on 5th July 1958.
Lancaster was an unusual originating station for a Glasgow service. Euston, Birmingham New Street, Liverpool and Manchester were more usual, plus Blackpool in the summer.
