LMS Converted Royal Scot 4-6-0 No 6166 The Hertfordshire Regiment at Crewe (?) in c1947. Carrying the plain black livery received in early 1945 after rebuilding with taper boiler. In mid 1947 repainted in the post war LMS lined black livery. Note the 12" cabside numerals used on the rebuilds that received plain black livery, initially placed as shown here but later placed higher up the cabside.
