The '368' class of 2-6-0s, designed by Robert Coey of the Great Southern & Western Railway would never qualify for a beauty contest! There were only eight of them, all built at Inchicore in 1909 and withdrawn by 1957. Originally built in 1903 as 0-6-0s by NBL of Glasgow, the conversion to 2-6-0s cured a problem with derailments and overloaded axles. It did not improve their looks however! Here is No. 369 at Cork's Glanmire Road MPD in June 1954.
n.b. Apologies for any errors in this description. Irish railways are not my strong point but I have tried to provide correct details where known!
