Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad '1950' class 2-8-0 No. 1989. Built by Baldwin in 1907 as one of 47 locomotives in this class. Withdrawn by 1955. No. 1951 of the class is preserved.

The crew have alighted at Santa Anita, California and posed in best 'bibs & braces' dungarees with other staff for a snaphot. Very 'Casey Jones' if that's not too obvious!
