And now for something completely different! A truly weird and wonderful contraption at the West Side Lumber Company in Tuolumne, California in July 1958. Formed in May 1898, this was the last of the 3ft. gauge logging railroads in the American west. The steam roster of fifteen steam locos were mainly three truck Shays some are now preserved. It closed in the early 1980s after a brief fling as a touist attraction. I can add nothing more about this 'locomotive', except that I'd like one!
