Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad '1452' class 4-4-2 Compound No. 1468. Built by Baldwin in 1910 as a class of 27 locomotives, all withdrawn by 1953.

This photograph from February 1940, personifies all that is California. The streets are lined with tall palms, a 'Sunkist' orange drink warehouse alongside the railroad tracks in the 'sunshine state' and a locomotive design that could not possibly be anywhere else but the Americas. The locomotive appears to be ex-shops (works) and is in immaculate external condition. The AT&SF was one of the largest users of 'Atlantics' with over 170 in service over the years. This train of just four cars should not prove too taxing!
